Permaculture kitchen garden (pòvrtnjak)

The garden is facing north (upper side). A few (6 to 10) meters further to the north is our house.
The garden is placed on the south side of a (slight) hill, so we don't need terraces.

Micro climat

Around the garden, on north-east, east, south and west side we place living fences, and bushes as wind breakers against the bura, burin, levante, sirocco, lebic and pulenat.
(The wall, the house and barns are on the north side to protect the garden)
Also the potatoes (krumpir) and "aardperen" (topinamboer, Helianthus tuberosus) are wind shields in the south-east.

We will place a small wall on the north side, with a water basin in front of it. Between the water and the wall, we want to grow fruits like kiwi's.
The wall absorbs the warmth of the sun, and the water reflects the sun so it will be very hot in front of the wall. An ideal spot for kiwi's?
