Forest gardenWe are working on an edible forest garden on a slight south slope on our terrain, and a small terrain next to the kitchen garden. The bigger zone at the back of our terrain has a warmer micro climate because it is a south slope, surrounded by forrests and a hill (north). The forest garden contains all kinds of fruit trees, nut trees and hazel shrubs, all kinds of berrie shrubberies, climbing kiwis and hop, wild and cultivated strawberries, herbs, and several salad leaves. We are both growing traditional trees from our region, and new (bought) trees with which we experiment with micro climates in our living fence. |
